Abstract

The issues of under-diagnosis and undertreatment of hypertension and COPD are of utmost importance within primary care, where the focus is on addressing disparities in physical health, including hypertension, depression, and COPD. These health challenges significantly and adversely affect patients’ lives. Fortunately, the issue of anxiety and hypertension can be effectively treated and cured through the implementation of Quality Initiatives (Qi) models, as demonstrated in this scenario. A key solution to this healthcare problem is to provide patients with improved access to mental health facilities. This approach allows for the development and implementation of change management models such as the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycle and strategies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for patients dealing with mental disorders. Additionally, hospitals should employ educational strategies to train more nurses in conducting remote and collaborative CBT, thereby improving patients’ overall quality of life (Khan, 2019).
