Practicum Experience in Nursing Informatics

My practicum experience in nursing informatics has been an enriching journey marked by significant learning and practical achievements. Focused on the utilization of technology in nursing, I have expanded my knowledge and honed practical skills throughout ongoing and completed practicals. The extended hours of shifts and reliance on paper reporting were identified as factors contributing to incomplete transfer of information and overlap during shift changes for nurses. Delving into this issue, I conducted extensive research, sought guidance from my preceptor, and proposed the development of a data communication system or application adhering to evidence-based guidelines and HIPAA rules. The practicum not only allowed me to contribute to resolving a critical issue but also facilitated my overall professional growth. Familiarize yourself with the APA format and practice using it correctly. It is used for most writing assignments for your degree. If you do not communicate with me before submitting an assignment late, the GCU late policy will be in effect. I do not accept assignments that are two or more weeks late unless we have worked out an extension. As per policy, no assignments are accepted after the last day of class. Any assignment submitted after midnight on the last day of class will not be accepted for grading.
